Steven Tennessen, President
Steve is the President and founder of Astron Electronics, Inc.  Astron Electronics, Inc. was started in 1994 after a successful stint in distribution.  Steve was part owner and CEO of Inductive Components and Crystal, a component distributor based in Orange County.  In 2000, Astron Electronics, Inc., acquired Gravley and Associates a very well-known and well respected manufacturers' representative firm in Southern California.  The successful marriage of the two companies helped Astron grow to become one of the premier manufacturer's representative firms in Southern California.

Steve was educated at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Business. He is an active member of ERA National, Southern CA ERA, and ERA San Diego.  Steve is on the Board of the Southern CA chapter of ERA, as the Treasurer. In the past he was the Assistant Show Director for the SOCALEE trade show, now known as the OCEShow, which he is part owner of. Steve is a member of the Radio Pioneers, an exclusive electronics industry group started in 1929 based in Southern CA.

Mindy Cadiz, General Manager 

Mindy has been with Astron for over 9 years. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with a BS in Business Marketing. 
Mindy is the General Manger and Corporate Secretary for Astron.  She manages the Inside and Outside sales team, coordinates principal visits, tradeshows, and principal reporting.  She ensures that all requests for samples and quotes are handled by the proper salesperson and followed up accordingly with the principal helping our sales staff close New Business Opportunities

 

Michael Singer,  Field Sales Manager - San Diego & Imperial
Mike was the Regional Sales Manager with the Polese Company.  Prior to that he was the Regional Sales Manager at Ametek.  Mike has over 30 years of Sales Management and Field Sales experience, 5 of them with Astron. He is well versed in multiple industrial and technology manufacturing processes. He has a strong background in selling many types of Electronic Components.  Mike has a Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix. He and several of his customers are members of the Palomar Amateur Radio Club in San Diego. Mike covers San Diego and Imperial counties.  Mike manages the field sales personnel.  He helps plan principal visits and coordinates all field activities.  Mike covers San Diego and Imperial Counties.  He is an active member of the San Diego chapter of ERA, AFCEA, and IMAPS. His knowledge and sales ability bring us New Business Opportunities on a regular basis.

Monroe Bunge, Field Sales - LA, & San Bernardino         

Monroe was the President of his own rep firm, Goldenwest Sales and Associates.  Monroe, has a wealth of technical knowledge especially in the power and military arena's.  Goldenwest Sales and Associates, product offering was very similar to that of Astron's. That brought to Astron many great customer relationships and new contacts at many key accounts.

Richard Powell, Field Sales - LA, & San Bernardino, Ventura, & Santa Barbara

Richard has over 35 years of Field Sales and Management experience having worked in manufacturing, electro-mechanical component distribution and field sales with a previous manufacturer’s rep firm. Richard has worked for and managed manufacturer’s reps for over 25 of those years, over 3 with Astron. Richard has a proven track record in building sales territories and reestablishing and generating new business from previously lost customers. Richard has his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and his Masters in Marketing.

Richard covers Northern Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley (Ventura & Kern Counties), Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo. His experience with major OEM accounts brings us New Business Opportunities on a regular basis.

Debra Reiter, Field Sales - Orange & Riverside                                                         

Prior to joining Astron, Debra did field sales selling to the industrial market.  Debra started out in distribution sales making many buddy calls with Distributors.  She has successfully penetrated many OEM's and worked her way up to Field Sales.  Her personality and professionalism made it clear that she would do well making key relationships with our OEM's.  Debra specializes with our high end industrial, medical, and commercial accounts.

Debra covers the greater part of Orange County and Riverside   Her efforts and relationships, bring New Business Opportunities to Astron on a regular basis.

Paul Galletta, Field Sales - Military - LA & Orange

Paul has been with Astron for over six years.  He was the National Sales Manager for Teledyne Microelectronics here in Los Angeles.  Paul spent 30 plus years with Teledyne, selling a variety of micro-electronics and hybrid components.  Paul's is a degreed Engineer and works very well in design Engineering.  He is constantly working on new designs with his customers.
                                                                                                                                                                         
Paul is responsible for Los Angeles and he is our Military Guru covering select military accounts in San Bernardino and Orange County.  His 30 plus years of experience selling at major OEM customers in the LA territory brings us New Business Opportunities on a regular basis.

Bud Hill, Field Sales - San Diego & Mexico
Enrique Loma (Bud Hill) has over 15 years experience dealing with the Maqilladora industry of Mexico.  He has a total of 20 years of selling electronics is Southern California as both a distributor and a manufacturer representative.  His most recent position was with West Electronics.  Bud has worked with Astron for over 7 years.

Bud is responsible for South San Diego and Baja Mexico. His knowledge and relationships with Mexican customers, bring New Business Opportunities to Astron on a regular basis.

Beth Baker,  Field Sales - Distribution
Beth has been with Astron for over three years.  She started out in inside sales and moved up to distribution sales manager. Her duties include inside sales, customer service, field sales calls with customers and distributors.  She is the liaison between our customers, distributors, and our principals.  Beth ensures that all orders placed with Astron turn into repeat business by following up with the customers after the PO has been shipped.  Beth also follows up on all trade show, internet, and other marketing leads to gain New Business Opportunities.

Kim Cordova and Alisha Frias, Inside Sales                                                                                     

Kim and Alisha are responsible for inside sales. They are the liaison between our customers, our field sales team, and our principals. Alisha handles the Northern section of our territory and Kim handles the Southern section of our territory.  Together, they ensures that all orders placed with Astron turn into repeat business, by following up with the customers after the PO has been shipped. Inside sales is responsible for customer service, principal reporting, and database updating. Through their phone call and email follow-ups with our customers they receive New Business Opportunities on a regular basis.

Jessica Younghans, Data Entry                                                                                

Jessica is responsible data, and Commission entry. She handles all of out internal reports and commissions payable to our sales staff. She will alert our salespeople of any new opportunity or customer found in these reports and that allows our sales staff to find New Business Opportunities.

Jennifer Droney, Accounting                                                                                                                     

Jennifer worked with Astron way back in 1998 through 2002 and then she moved to Hawaii.  For some reason, that is not explainable, she left Hawaii and is now with back with Astron, in total Jen has worked for Astron for over 7 years.  Jen is responsible Human Resources and Account's Payable.
