San Diego, CA - June 6, 2008 -- "I was invited to the annual Neuman Golf tournament by Doug Bodenstein owner of the Del Mar Electronic Trade Show.  It is a great industry tournament, long lived and very popular with all of the local manufacturer's, distributors, and representative's.  Beyond the fun of golf, it also benefit's a great charity the Veterans Village of San Diego.  All of the money raised goes to help all or out military veterans from all wars."  Commented Steve Tennessen, President Astron Electronics, Inc.

Torrance, CA - June 4, 2008 -- Astron displayed their wares at the IMAP's show held at the Proud Bird in Torrance. IMAP's is a show put on by Northrop Grumman and targeted for the military industry. It's an opportunity for engineers to attend from the many firms around the LA region. Astron donated raffle items and manned two tables. Micropac had their own tabletop display and Astron and API Delevan on a separate table. API Delevan also hosted a reception afterwards where many of the engineers came for appetizers and drinks. "It wasn't one of the larger tradeshows being a tabletop show, but was very informative with the seminars and speakers. We were able to meet a few key contacts which we hope to grow into future customers," commented, Mindy Cadiz, General Manager, Astron Electronics, Inc.

rich unruh shoots 71 to help his team win the eds open:
Las Vegas, NV - May 4th, 2008 -- Semi-pro golfer Rich Unruh shoots a 71, leading his team to a convincing victory over the rest of the field.  Throughout the storied history of the EDS tournament, his 71 is the best score ever recorded.  "I set up a foursome that I thought would be competitive, had I known he was going to shoot under par, I would have put him in my group.  However, Superman is not infallible, if you click on the scorecard to the right you will see that mister Unruh, did lose to mister Tennessen on the back 9 holes at Meadowlark. "This is a great way to meet with business piers outside the office in a casual atmosphere.  Too many people get caught up in the day to day routine and relationships are put on hold.  It was good to see the industry come together for a fun event. Tustin, CA  - October 31th, 2007 -- Halloween lunch party at TTI.  Vendors and TTI employee's all dressed up for this pot-luck party at their office in Tustin.  The winners for best costume for TTI employees were:  First Place: Dean Seymour, Outside Sales, pictured on the right as an Army Captain.  Second place sent to Marc Tousignant, Outside Sales, pictured on the left as a Catholic Bishop.  Third place went to Mike Lynch, product manager for Delevan, he was dressed as a ship Captain, pictured on the right.

Santa Ana, CA - October 22th, 2007 -- The fires in Southern CA have touched everyone here in some way.  "Bud had to evacuate his house, so he jumped into his motorhome and parked somewhere.  Mike is on voluntary evacuation after evacuating the first time to his boat.  They are not supposed to use their cell phones so we try not to call them but let them call/email us.  As far as the rest of us we are fine but the air here is getting worse as of this morning on the drive into work..." commented Mindy Cadiz General Manager, Astron Electronics, Inc.

Pacific Ocean  - October 22th, 2007 "We all know of someone who lost a house in this tragedy.  I offer a few pictures, from my trip on my friends Destroyer, the USS Howard, sailing from San Diego to Seal Beach (LA County).  Some pictures of the smoke were from 17 miles out to sea, the rest are from one of the ports.  The smoke at sea was so thick that it looked as if it was snowing.  For some reason all of the ash was coming down where we were sailing."  Commented Steve Tennessen, President Astron Electronics, Inc.

Huntington Beach , CA - October 5th, 2007 -- The 2007 Distribution Texas Hold 'em tournament closed with a bang on Friday.  We had a two way tie for first place and a two way tie for fourth place.  "The promotion netted well over a million dollars in sales, the results were so positive, that we are having a second tournament that started immediately after the golf tournament and will conclude just in time for Christmas.  The rules and payouts have changed a little bit to accommodate a faster tournament."  Commented Steve Tennessen, President Astron Electronics, Inc.

Najla,

Just a bit of information for you about Astron. Astron has serviced us in Southern California since 1999-2000 timeframe. During that time, Astron has more than tripled the amount of business in the area, and every year has met or exceeded their plan. I am also excited to report that they are bringing the correct opportunities to us, and penetrate the type of account that we recommend to them. Any and all direction given by myself and the factory is followed up quickly and responded to appropriately. Astron also is pro-active about visiting the factory and attending training sessions and seminars.

Steve Tennessen has also done a great job in keeping his staff together and organizing it into a top notch sales organization. Mindy Cadiz is a wonderful manager of accounts and is always ready with the answers to whatever questions may occur. The outside staff is always available by phone or e-mail to answer specific questions on accounts and design opportunities. A recent improvement was adding Stephen Klass as an inside sales contact to follow up on existing business and grow new business. Overall the direction the company has taken since I have been on board with them has been extremely positive.

To wrap up, I certainly recommend Astron as the best possible choice for representation in Southern California.

Santa Ana, CA - February 14th, 2007 -- Well where do you go on Valentines day when you are all alone thousand's of miles from home and at a trade show in Southern CA?  You go to hooters of course.  "Thanks to Mindy's great idea, we did not have to wait for crowds of couples to get a table on one of the busiest days for eating out.  We went back to the place where last year my staff had a blast without me. Southern, CA - December  22th, 2006 --.Jackie Morris from Surface Mount Distribution (SMD), crossed 15 different inductors over to the API Delevan brand!  She won the most crosses award for the month of December.

Dave Bell from Passive Components won second place for the most inductor crossed over to API Delevan.  He crossed 8 different brands.

Scott Handke of ACI won a hundred dollars for booking a $7,386.50 order with a new customer for API Delevan!  Way to go Scott.

Anaheim, CA - November 20th, 2006 -- Paul Katinos of ACI, won the Astron/Delevan promotion for the largest new customer quote.  He quoted  over $9,000.00, if he books the order, it will get him a leg up on next month Booking award! - Go Paul."  

Kim Jones of Projections Unlimited, booked a $6,700.00 order with a new customer to win the Astron/Delevan booking award for November.  Nice work Kim!
